Impact Week - Fostering Innovation
The Impact Week promotes innovation and entrepreneurship in developing and emerging economies as a foundation for sustainable growth. Using the creative design thinking approach, students are being enabled to develop their own business ideas and solutions to problems of their local community in a one-week workshop. They are guided by local mentors, who undergo the design thinking process in a train-the-trainer workshop in advance and are taught on how to coach their students, additionally.
Everyone who wants to make a contribution to the multicultural, interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge – from the employee to the NGO employee to the university teacher – can take part. The events are organized by a network of volunteers from Germany and the partner countries. The Impact Week was co-founded by Michael Hübl in 2015, co-founder of the flinc ride-sharing service. In 2017 I had the chance to be part of the scaling team, bringing the event to South America, starting in Bogota – Colombia
